Yeah there's a reason why I avoid booze. I mean my dad is a raging alcoholic, so I really don't want to drink. I prefer pot because it actually calms me down and takes me out of my own thought processes.

Yes, you don't want to have to deal with prefrontal cortex damage AND autism.

I'm going to make the hypothesis that a case study of this exact situation would be Jackson Pollock's downward spiral. Mainly because I can relate with it so well!

Yeah I think autism plus brain damage would be really awful to deal with.

yes I have this feeling too like one of the posters on here said it could have been from getting corrected all the time when young.
I also feel that I'm going to get in trouble (Which is probably the same thing).

Yeah same. I'm pretty paranoid about doing something that gets me in trouble.

I often feel like I don't grasp the "rules" of this world, even if I can understand it on a factual level. That's gotten better with age, but I suppose it's part of the package.

I get into this with my NT roommate all the time. I won't know or remember how to do something, like which cloth to use to wash a certain dish, and I feel like if I try to decide which cloth to use, my roommate will admonish me for doing it wrong. Or I want to avoid using the wrong cloth, so I'll gather up my courage and ask my roommate, and she'll get impatient with me for not knowing already.
This happens in a lot of situations.

Yeah that's always been me. I think it might be due to the fact that I'm just awkward when it comes to spacial tasks.
