A couple of Centres that do what?

I'm still waiting for NHS "Therapy" in Chester

If money is not an issue and all you do is play computer games all day with no human contact then that sounds like absolute heaven to me. That's the kind of situation I'm hoping for right now.

That's what I thought. After about 7 or 8 years it got really boring.

I just watch TV shows online. I don't understand how you cannot work but can volunteer?

Is there a community garden in your area? Keeping a garden is good exercise. You may be able to adjust the social interaction to your needs by varying the time and date. Sometimes you just want to work alone, Sometimes you do want to interact with others.

What are your interests, besides playing video games? I wonder if there are any adult education courses in your area that might interest you? If you are receiving benefits you should be able to do them at a reduced cost. I've been to a lot of these courses over the years, most of them are just for a couple of hours a week, and they have really opened up my world and I have gained a lot of skills. I find it is much easier to be around people when the focus is on something other than social interaction. I also find that if I spend too much time indoors in front of the computer, I lose the confidence and the motivation to do other thing that i really would like to do.

Try hanging out with other people. Being idle with friends is more fun than being idle by yourself.

Because you own a PC you could learn programming, design webpages or how to deal with different operating systems. For the last just all you need is to download VirtualBox and try Linux (i.e. Knoppix has also some games preinstalled), TrueOS (BSD) aso. within the VM. As soon as you start with it you'll never be bored again. :D

Have you ever thought about or considered voluntary dog walking, joining a befriending scheme, helping out at a local soup kitchen? or even taking up a course or studying and looking into assisted help and support for those with disabilities and funding?

Maybe plot murder and reverse engineer it into a murder mystery book.

All I do is work and play computer games but if I didn't have to work then I'd have much more time for computer games! I've been doing that for 30 years and I plan to do that until the day I die.

For me, all I do is work and play computer games but if I didn't have to work then I'd have much more time for computer games! If this is a real boredom issue than perhaps trying an MMORPG of sorts like World of Warcraft or Rift or Knights of the Old Republic. A game that can really consume your time is what I'm driving at.

But for a change of scenery perhaps volunteering at the local retirement home or soup kitchen might help you feel like you're benefiting the rest of society?

At this point I've been a NEET for roughly half my life. That means I have all the time in the world to do what I want. I haven't been bored since I left school, and the only things stopping it from being complete bliss is money (lack of) and physical ailments (asthma plus a couple of other things, as well as missing lost loved ones; the latter two being having no relevance to the main question here). The situation itself is quite frankly (and sort of unfortunately due to money) perfect for me. The days fly by so fast it's dizzying, I don't even have the time to do most of what I want to do at any given day. Heavens know how I'd cope if I ever got a job, I fear I'd be back to being the miserable person I was back in school when all my days were wasted on something I hated.
Just how it is for me.

I enjoyed some of it. Maybe the real problem was that unemployment sunk my self-esteem.
