For some wierd reason people seem to think I am at least 25, I've had guesses up to 30 or so. Why I don't know, maybe it's because people spread rumours that I am a great scientist (are they true? I hope so), and automatically assume I'm at least a masters student, others say pHd. Heck, someone from Tesla Canada thought I was a postdoc given the contributions I have made to their research.

So, I guess I don't have much to worry about turning 30. In my mind, and in other's, I'm almost already there.

It's the opposite for me - I'm 34, and people guessing my age tend to think I'm in my 20's. I guess either they think I look young, or they don't want to "insult" me by guessing too high an age (though I wouldn't be insulted at all.)

And this with my many gray hairs.

As for me, I'm terrible at guessing anyone's age from their appearance, so I usually don't try. :)

Age mattered to me too when I turned 30 ... The thing is, I went through the typical "milestones" like everyone else in my 20's and I realized at around 31, I still had much to do and learn and more than enough time to learn it.

Trust me, you don't have anything to fear, there's still time to do the things you want and there is no rush. Take it easy.

Same. Thing is, I have youthful features AND I'm balding with gray in my beard. Most think I'm in my early 20's and ugly. The truth is, some of these features are aging on par for the course ... A dismal stroke of misfortune, unfortunately.
