1~ No
2~ No
3~ No
4~ I got sick fairly easily when I was a kid but I almost never get sick as an adult.
4~ They're dirty. I don't really care about keeping things clean thou the 3 jobs I had all involved cleaning & I did really well with them.

I mostly just wash my hands after I've used the bathroom & I mostly only use the soap after I've taken a dump. I pick my nose a lot cuz of allergies & sinus problems & I do it rite before eating without washing my hands all the time.

1. No
2. Yes
3. Only if there's dirt on it that I can see.
4. Haven't had a cold since 2012. I was 26 the last time I was on antibiotics and that was as a precaution after surgery.
5.My mouse gets dusty but everything feels clean otherwise.

1. No
2. No
3. No
4. No
5. Usually no—I've cleaned them on the few occasions when they felt sticky. They do look dirty, however: there are crumbs on them. And I touch them while eating, so they would probably feel a bit dirty to someone else, but I don't notice any dirty feeling.

1. Yes. Usually, if I've left the house at all on a given day I'll wash my hair that night, but not necessarily immediately after getting home. If I used public transportation, it seems likely that I would feel the need.
2. Kind of. I always wash my hands when I get home, because I've probably touched door handles, shaken hands, and such. If I picked money off the floor I might sanitize my hands immediately afterwards, but it's also likely that I'll forget I did it at all. No OCD there, I think.
3. No, but most of the stores where I live have switched to self-checkout, so no one's touched the groceries except for my mom. I do wash my hands after putting everything away, though. I'm not sure why, I guess because I feel like the plastic bags are dirty.
4. I can't answer this question because it's the fourth on the list, and that makes it taboo combined with the subject matter.
5. It depends on the item specifically. I hate touching my little brother's electronics because they're objectively disgusting. Most door handles are fine.

Sorry I couldn't answer them in yes/no format. My OCD usually revolves around niched nitpicks rather than general phobias, with my main issues being good/bad numbers and pattern obsessions.

Are you familiar with numerology AceofPens? I'm interested in numbers but I'm not quite as superstitious about them as you.

Thanks for the answers everyone. I told my psychologist about this thread and she was impressed.

No to all. And possibly the reason why I don't get colds often is because I'm exposed to so many germs I have developed a high immunity.

"1st Question: If you go outside on a bus or train or sit in the passenger seat of someone else's car that is full of mess everywhere and the back of your head touches the seat's head rest, when you get home do you wash your hair?"

I try very hard not to let my head touch the seat's head rest, and I try very hard not to touch anything else for that matter. I feel contaminated if I touch anything. When I get home I wash my hands thoroughly.

"2nd Question: If you find some money on the floor and pick it up would you wash your hands when you got home?"

I wouldn't be able to pick it up if I couldn't clean the money thoroughly and wash my hands immediately.

"3rd Question: If you buy food in the supermarket do you wipe the packaging after getting home?"

Sometimes. I always wash my hands after handling the packaging

"4th Question: Do you get colds, flus or other infections much?"

No.

"5th Question: Do your TV remote controls, computer keyboards, computer mice and door handles feel clean or do they feel sticky or dirty?"

I clean and disinfect everything regularly, especially door handles and such.

"If anyone cares to answer this one too, feel free. If you have a runny nose and you had to keep wiping bits of mucous that were running would you keep washing your hands? This is one of the ones that is most time consuming for me."

Yes, I would.

I have some OCD tendencies but not enough for a diagnosis. Most of it is related to a fear of germs. I know I wash my hands excessively and I get anxious when I've touched something and I can't wash up immediately.

My NT dad had a thing about flies. He'd see them rubbing their legs together, and imagine flakes of cow dung on his food every time. Actually, until horses became uncommon in cities, streets were heavily contaminated. Even fancy lady's shoes and the hems of those long dresses would have smelled like barn boots.

I admire you. I don't think I deserve your wisdom, in some respects. I have never known the cold that is Canada. And don't misunderstand me I take that as a sign that you are strong.

^^ It is cold today, but sunny, and I'm quite snug. I've lived with English weather, and it can chill me to the bone at least as badly; it just does not sting exposed skin in a wind. English weather isn't so bad. I went on holiday to Scotland a few times. Now there is bad weather!

I can say No to Questions 1 - 4 and to 5 my keyboards, mice, and touchscreens feel clean. I spray alcohol on my keyboards occasionally and wipe my mice/trackball with an alcohol prep pad too. For my phone and tablets, DollarTree has some Electronics Wipes that are designed to clean touch screens so I use them periodically.

And I put someone using my earbuds on par with using my toothbrush! I would toss mine if someone used them too. BTW, again DollarTree sells earbuds for a dollar. I have had ear infections and they are pretty bad. I wear earplugs to sleep but I break out new ones about every two weeks.
