I am reasonably satisfied with my choices, and have few regrets. "Success" is a bit of a lottery, and not something I sought in common terms. I do wish the world had more than a 5% chance of maintaining all the progress we have made in the face of climate change, but I really tried to put the brakes on.
Re: the question, though, I don't think full satisfaction is healthy or realistic for anyone not ready for a hospice. As they say in Texas, "Keep a strain on 'er, pardner!"

No, definitely not. I'm nowhere near where I wished to be at this age when I was a teenager, but since I'm still relatively young I think I might be able to more or less catch up with my plans by the time I'm 30 or so with a lot of hard work and a bit of luck... or well, I might actually need a lot of luck.

I don't think I'll ever be satisfied with my life. I will always want things to be perfect. Even though I mellowed a lot as I aged, something wrong always happens and people are always bothering me. I'm surrounded by anxious people, even if I want to relax somebody else would want me to think about all the problems I have or might have. My goal is to be content and ready before I die. To do that I have to outlive anyone I don't like. :o Which kinda stress me out. First I don't know how long other people would live, and if I didn't make it, I feel under-achieved or something. Plus I can't be sure that I won't make any annoying friends or have whiny brat grandchildren in my old age. Life is tough enough without all these anxieties.
