I guess my humour is dry at the moment. It is not raining.
Well, I've been described as quirky before, but I'm not entirely sure if that also applies to the kind of humour I use. I often improvise when telling jokes, so it somewhat depends on the situation.
That's why I enjoy going to improv club, I get to remark on completely bizarre concepts and just roll with it. Sometimes it can be difficult, but then there are moments when it comes naturally. It depends on the prompt and if I get the timing right.
The group often plays guessing games, where someone doesn't know something about a particular character and has to figure it out. It can be fun to hint at it subtly, making the audience laugh and the person guessing utterly bewildered. One time I was playing
the woman who lived in a shoe (the person had to figure this out), so I remarked "You know what the best thing about my home is? It has a lot of
sole".
I'm still kicking myself for messing up the line "Never fear, dental hygiene is here!" when bursting into a party setting as an enthusiastic dentist. However, that's improv, it's hard not to make strange and/or cheesy jokes. In fact it's encouraged.
So, what is my humour like in everyday situations? Hmm. A little self-deprecation, some bad puns (OK, a lot, I apologise), the occasional observation etc. I usually avoid knock-knock jokes because I tend to mess up on them.
