* I am not defective. I am different,I am Aspie. Being an Aspie for me is wonderful (except when I am in meltdown.)
Autism like most things in life has its good and bad parts. It does not make one defective it makes one human.

* I will not sacrifice my self-worth for peer acceptance.
Sacrifice is a an unfortunate necessity sometimes, but being a sell out causes all sorts of problems. It can become too easy to confuse tactical retreat to who you are

* I am a good person with many interesting life events to talk about.
Hope to read about these things on WP.

* I take pride in myself.
I take pride I what I have accomplished especially with decades of undiagnosed autism

* I am capable of getting along with society.
I some times am and sometimes I am not. This relates to the above not sacrificing self worth for societal acceptance.

* I ask for help when I need it. Being an Aspie I generally work 'issues' out on my own.
I should ask for help more often. I am too stubborn sometimes.

* I am a person who is worthy of others’ respect and acceptance.
Of course

* I respect and accept people who are 'different.'
Depends on what the difference is. If you are a spree shooter you don’t get acceptance or respect from me.

* I will find a career interest that is well suited to my abilities and interests.
That is the goal of pretty much everybody. It is easier said then done but when that happens it’s nirvana.

* I will be patient with those who need time to understand me.
Still a work in progress for me

* I never give up on myself.
The temptation is always great to do that but obviously that is a thing to be avoided.

* I accept myself for who I am.
That is the key. That is the key to not confuse selling out with tactical retreat.

* I am more alert that 'the average Joe' and I notice change. It is like I have a sixth sense.
Sometimes it seems I notice too much. Got to be more flexible.

* I look around constantly wherever I travel and by doing so I learn.
A good plan.

Hey, I was just researching cleaning/organizing ideas today. There's a Japanese woman called Marie Kondo (founder of KonMari) who has a whole philosophy around it. You might find her ideas interesting.
It really helps keep one's mind clear & calm simply by minimizing clutter. Less to worry about, fewer distractions, etc.. The hard part is starting. :)
