Who likes washing machines?

I like the way they spin and the sound they make. I also like the smell of wet clean clothes. I like putting soap in the washing machine too. I like doing laundry

I do like doing laundry for some strange reason. It is a chore, but I get a sense of satisfaction doing it. Another thing I like is that my cat is curious about what I'm doing and she sits on top of the machine, watching the clothes going around and around.

Just sorting the clothes by color, and there's something I like about the texture of detergent. I like the feel and smell of dryer sheets too. With the dryer, I used to be scared of the sound it made when I was little but I got used to it.

Do they have top-loading dryers, or is that not practical? Maybe I am kind of lazy, always thought it would be so nice to lift the wet clothes out of the washer and toss them over into the dryer without bending over.

I've never seen one, but there are front-loading washers now that save a lot of water. Maybe dryer doors should be bottom-hinged to work as chutes, but they are nasty energy hogs. I just put my clothes straight onto hangars, and they dry soon enough.

Washing machines are great. They are the most labor saving of all common labor saving devices and they go 'round and 'round. What's not to love?
