Yes my closest friends are unusual, as a rule. I'm not really much interested in mainstream people. The stuff they want to do is probably too middle-of-the-road for my taste. I'd rather hang about with people who have new perspectives to share, if I hang about with anybody at all.

The friends I have tend to be very eccentric in one way or another. I just don't connect well with most "normal" people.

My close friends are four legged and hairy. Does that qualify for odd?

I do have one human friend who lives on the other side of the country who would certainly be described as odd. She's a bit hard to describe besides just saying she very much goes by her own rendition of a drum beat....then gets bored and uses it as a chair
