Don't people with autism and comorbid conditions use two labels? I have level 1 autism, but I'm level 2 in terms of overall disability due to a comorbid developmental disorder that affects my ability to function. I'd assumed that this was the normal labeling system. It seems to make the most sense.
That would certainly be the most intelligent way to approach things . When things go unnoticed for quite some time it's often more than one thing that does . Hence Asperger's, dyspraxia, learning difficulty(UK), schizoaffective are all things I 95%+ have , but only Asperger's and schizoaffective are officially diagnosed .
If I was 20-25 years younger it might have been worth pursuing the dyspraxia and LD. At 62 however it's not as though it would make a big difference .
