At my age, when I slouch, I soon hurt, and it sometimes takes days to straighten up and get out of constant pain. Prevention, which looks an awful lot like good posture, works well. However, this correspondence is becoming another kind of pain. Over and out.

When I was a kid I would constantly have my head down but look up over my glasses, as back then I wore them all the time when I really only need them for reading / staring at a computer screen. I had a slight hunch for a while which has pretty much gone away now, even though for the past few years I've looked down on my phone a lot when I'm walking around due to Pokemon Go.

I doubt maintaining a straight position or not has any impact upon pain. We experience more pain over time as our spine degenerates. Arm and leg pain are often linked to spinal degeneration. I question podiatrists claims that wearing expensive shoe inserts with shoes on will do anything at all. Most of the time I do not even wear shoes and I prefer not wearing the rigid shoe inserts.

It is NTs that blindly follow and take on advice without questioning. Having Aspergers means I question everything and I often come across as an arrogant, know-it-all. People don't like it but I am not changing the way I am because I have Aspergers!

I've always had a bad posture due to physical disability. It's not as bad now as it was when I was a child, but still clearly noticeable and I keep getting comments on it.
