We have a small five room house and my wife’s favourite way of occupying herself is diy. With lots of noise and loud curses.
(She is a tradeswoman though, so the results are excellent, the racket however... 8O )

I sometimes insert silicone ear plugs and then put noise cancelling headphone on as well.

Hmmm.... I think I may have a shopping list now. Cheers! :D

Unfortunately, I'm a freelancer, which makes this crisis an absolute financial disaster for me.

Otherwise, having to stay home, read books, watch movies, listen to music, write, communicate by Internet with other people if I want to.... That sounds pretty ideal.

I don't really have to change anything about my routines or lifestyle either, since most of the time I go out even when there isn't a pandemic is just to walk my dog. Except now, everyone else is home, too. I expect I'll be getting a bit stir-crazy in the next week or two.

Other than people going panic-shopping, my life has not changed much at all. It's work-home-church-repeat; except now church is being live-streamed and I can fall asleep in nothing but my underwear while the pastor drones on, and the only person who even notices is my wife.

My life is barely affected. I do most of my shopping monthly, and almost never go visiting. Now, I just have lower hopes of getting a visitor, and plans have changed. I've stopped working on a display for a street fair now, but I am thinking of updating my will.

Some might develop some empathy because they'll learn what it's like for us. At least with many staying at home especially screaming, whinging children it'll be nicer for us to be able to go out and do our errands and not feel mentally and physically drained when we get home. I don't get lonely really as I've got the internet and social media to chat to family and friends and my folks aren't that far away from me if they or I need help or want to hang out. My sister and I live together and we make sure to look out for each other.

So, what is a Corvid-19, anyway? Is the Phoenix part of the crow family? :-)

To be fair, many autists are simply oversensitive crybabies. Hard to empathize

Remember that you're on a forum for autistic people. Posting negative stereotypes of autistic people is generally not advised.

To be even more fair and accurate, no two autistic people are exactly alike.

Having anxiety because my daily schedules are disrupted really makes me feel in charge.

I'm not a sensitive snowflake but I can be blunt and tell it as it is. About time neurotypicals knew what it's like for those not just on the spectrum but those with anxiety, depression and the like.

My life has been affected since as of Friday, the company is completely shut down, and I'm staying at home other than necessary grocery shopping and supporting restaurants by getting takeout. My job is one that can't be done from home, so for most of last week, I was still going to work while most were working from home. Thursday, we were first told that we were only working Tuesdays and Thursdays, then on Friday morning, I got the call about the shutdown for at least 30 days. The good news is that we're still getting paid as if we were working full time, so I don't have to worry about money at this point. I'm grateful for social media at least as it means I can keep in contact with people I work with as well as other friends and family.

The quarantine will only last for so long.

The quarantine could have caused some changes that will be permanent. (Fine). But the frantic, mayhem, havoc, overreaction :nerdy:  could only last for so long

Anticlimactic

Not everyone that likes to stay home is autistic. Not all autistics like to stay home

Some autistics are homeless

Autism is not just a social matter. Also sensory issues.
