Yes, really bad. I was told it's because of bad motoric skills... I'm always told it looks like the handwriting of a teenage boy who isn't even trying.

WEll I have dysgraphia. Even when I used handwriting all the time for years. My written writing was almost illegible, Unless, I concentrate really hard and write it really slowly. That's after 2 years of OT. It's not just a motor issue. I also mix up grammar words and spellings. It's unclear where to draw the line and at what point the dysgraphia turns into something else. However, It still affects my typing to some extent. Like my mind types a word but clicks the wrong keys. I can only right a similar size letters if i've got lined paper otherwise it's just a no. Even when i'm concentrating on it, every letter will look different. My brother who's also on the spectrum has excelent penmanship.

I usually have to stop and rest at least once each sentence these days, but that's probably mostly due to my medical issues. I used to write 3-4 pages at a time without stopping for more than a couple seconds while I found the right words.

yeh, as they say, "ageing ain't for sissies." but i'm a sissy so i'm in a double-bind. :|

Loooolz. Double blind ..... oddly enough can almost predict how many’s spoons am left , to be functional .
As am. Running out. It shows very badly in my writing . But if am ok. My writing cursive. Or otherwise can be quite readable , .

I have to concentrate really hard and write really slowly for my writing to be legible too. I have trouble getting the right thing out of my head and into the document.

My handwriting varies. After burnout it takes a lot to be able to handwrite. Takes ages before I can write nicely again. Otherwize I have to print using capitols.

Me too, I have bad handwriting as well. And for some reason, if people told me I needed to fix my handwriting, I was not motivated to do so. I quickly fell in love with computers and their companion miracle device, the printer! I really miss owning a printer that had a dedicated slot for printing addresses on envelopes.

I have terrible handwriting lol I get a lot of weird of looks from people who watch me write. Writing helps me concentrate and remember details though. I find I am able write better depending on the kind of pen I use. I prefer the plain Bic Crystal pens or just plain pencils.

That sounds like it.

I would grip my pencil (remember them?) awkwardly, like I had a claw, and ever so painfully produce lines of ugly scribble that actually freaked me out.

For years I simply wrote as little as possible, although I liked to read.

Now that I take medications, it is a lot easier to write...except, of course, that nobody writes anymore.

Yeah mine has always been terrible if I wasn't deliberately focusing on making it look neat.

Also do the walking on toes thing if I'm in socks or barefoot. Otherwise I tend to walk on the outer edges of my feet.

Wright Write, that’s right , you gotta bloody Well ,write to Be . Write .

Think this is a line from a Pink Floyd’s. Song^^^

Many years back when my dominate Left hand could work. And. Write , with focus my writing. Was very
Pretty. Then tradjedy stuck and had to relearn how to write all over again . But if am not in meltdown or burnout mode. Would happily be able to write a few nice sentences , until. Fatigue from the burnout stepped in and spoiled me for the entire rest of the day. But on my best days can write very nicely. Just not for very long .

My handwriting is not too bad but it could be better for someone who writes a lot and enjoys it.

I cannot write in all capitals for some reason. I write neater in little letters.

When I was a kid I had awful handwriting. I don't even know how the teacher could read my work, let alone grade it. I was looking at a couple of old school books I kept from when I was 11, and I couldn't read it at all. I used to draw a huge circle on an I and a J instead of a dot and I even drew a circle for a full stop. I joined up all my F's, G's, J's, S's and Y's in a scruffy way. It was totally unreadable.

Yes, my handwriting is worse than an MD Or DO. My parents, teachers and classmates would belittle, threaten and physically beat my fat ass because of my handwriting. It wasn’t until I was diagnosed for carpal tunnel syndrome, that i discovered why: I was in constant pain. My wrists and hands would seize up on me. Did anyone believe me when I told them it hurt? HELL TO THE NO!! ! It wasn’t until I was in junior high that I was able to get my hands on a typewriter. Still didn’t make a difference, because most of the work was still done in manuscript, especially as an undergraduate music major in the late 1970’s. Even then, nobody could read my flysh!t (which is the common term for musical manuscript. As an aside, I couldn’t read flysh!t. If you’ve ever played in a pit orchestra for a show, or a custom unpublished arrangement, like, for a jazz band or marching band, that’s all you get at the time. Thank God for music notation software!)

Dysgraphia is a common comorbid condition with autism. I certainly suffer from it.
