The average NT doesn't even know that you call them that so that would be a requirement to give them a reason to be offended.

Do you ever keep it short n sweet, kind, polite and positive, only to get constant dirty looks and cold shoulder by NT’s? Sometimes bordering on contempt? I don’t seem to have this issue with the older generation. Mostly the younger generations.

Wtf do they want from me/us/each other?

I come from a genuinely polite, kind place, yet at the end of most interactions, it’s the same result.

I was also raised that way. I’m a bit older so people may just think I am quaint.

It is important to me to keep my behavior consistent with my moral underpinnings.

The one small positive thing I’ve been told repeatedly throughout my life is I have a wonderful smile. Confidence in my smile has allowed me to use it often and most people respond well to it.

But not all. Some people will not be pleased no matter what. And for those people, I just have to let it go.

I don’t know what NTs want, but I try to keep them pacified. :D

Maybe short - is the problem? You have to talk more, otherwise, people assume that a quiet person has bad intentions. Talking more describes you better to people, so they don't assume you think things that you don't think.

What do NTs want?

Huh...

Do you want to grant this unspoken need/want?

Do you have a choice? Does it bug you enough to even ask what NTs even want? Were you obligated to?
