I've always wondered a bit about this as well. I go through many many phases. Things peak my interest for a day and a half, then it is gone. Some things I could talk about forever, but I don't think about it all of the time. A lot of my obsessions I always think I could do really well at if I was just dedicated enough to use it for anything, but they fade so quickly that I never master them.

Over the past month, the ones that stick out in my mind:
forensics, starting a newsletter, starting a magazine of sorts for poetry and short stories from people in the area, learning vietnamese, learning braille (which, I still want to do but just cannot find a template), learning french, learning hindi, learning german, studying psychology, studying philosophy, writing a story for a video game and drawing out some of the things, making a portfolio, learning to use 3D Studio Max, learning to use DirectX, making music videos using anime, making home movies of the kiddos, making a website full of random junk that I think of.... and the list goes on. I'm also working on making tons of hemp bracelets but keep losing focus because other things momentarily catch me, I'm going back to college (so already skimming through the books), and I have started reading 3 different Stephen King books...

I am currently interested in reading books about spelling bees, since I will be competing in one next month. I will be representing the library in the local Literacy Council Spelling Bee for the fourth time.

Cool! I have often thought about starting a newletter or magazine, especially an "underground" type. I also am currently trying to learn biblical Hebrew and Greek. I really want to make some kind of movie, and I'm playing around with digital photograpy in Photoshop.
