I find people on WP have been like that as well.

Maybe it's just a human thing or personality thing.

Do you mean not explaining clearly? I think it is either a human thing, or it's a 21st century thing because life is so complicated and we all live in our own little worlds. In the past people did the same things as each other but now we're different.

No I meant more the mocking thing. I've asked a serious question before where I wanted serious answers and the replies were just ridiculous, and when I reacted they told me to get a sense of humour.

I have difficulty with explaining things, as in I can't always find big words to explain myself like a lot of people on WP seem to. That's why I get easily frustrated when I can't win an argument on WP, because it's like a battle of words and usually the other posters use big words and I just use boring simple words.

Yes, humans love mocking each other, especially anyone 'different'. It might be a tribal thing, they mock the outsider. FFS grow up people, it's so childish!

An argument shouldn't be about the length of words, sounds like they are showing off.

I know what you mean! I'm great at explaining in written words because I have time to think, but verbally I am never quick enough to explain what the problem or situation is. Especially when I'm stressed/ shocked/ hurt :?

I'm a little bit confused by this thread. How were you supposed to know the nature of the superimposed videos? Does autism somehow prevent a person from intuitively knowing that the videos were altered?

Exactly! How was I supposed to know that the video had been altered? I just wanted a clear explanation of what it was :roll:

But I have lots of conversations like this on various subjects, not just videos. Where I just want a clear explanation of something but the other person just makes fun of me, or asks another question, like 'why do you want to know?'

Annoying.

I've never had a conversation like that with a typical person. It could also be that Canadians use different words and expressions than British people do. I've been told by many people that I'm yanking their chain.

Yes, when you just want a clear answer and explanation but they think you're joking or making fun. I give up on those conversations, I say 'I suppose I'll never know the answer now.'
