As for intelligence, I have an IQ of 86. I couldn't tie my shoes properly until I was 9. I couldn't read until I was 8. I learned how to write my name at the age of 7. I learned to draw and paint at the age of 5. I learned how to speak at the age of 4.

That's a very good site.

I have scores listed at the World genius directory and at the World genius registry . It's a way of telling myself I may be useless at a 1001 things, but I'm not totally stupid.

I have trouble seeing things from other people's perspective, that's the main reason I couldn't follow people's instructions when they showed how to tie shoes. They were doing it from their own perspective, and I was still having trouble telling left from right. I also was probably 13 by the time I learned to tell time on a non-digital clock.

Lolzz.. took me quite awhile to understand time on a digital clock, that did not have a analog watch face on it..lolz

I remember the first time I saw a digital clock. It was actually a digital watch. I had no idea how to read it.
Analogue is still easier for me.
I just have to see the shape of the arms, instead of thinking what numbers mean.

I could tie laces the normal way around five.
I learned with some ribbons on my nightie.

I can't do the rabbit ears way even today.
I think rabbit ears require a lot more dexterity.

Basically my understanding is that the autism spectrum covers the entire IQ range, and within rhe spectrum the subset that is Aspergers is toward the upper end of it. That's the definition that I've seen.

WTH? Clock faces annoy me. I like seeing numbers.

I hate digital.
The only ones in my house are the one on my laptop and the one on my oven.
I have a few analogue wall clocks, mostly roman numerals.
(I don't need to "read" the numerals -- I just read them by shape)

I learned to read time with analogue so that's what my brain prefers.

Also I hate the way digital clocks glow in the dark (usually LED).
I'm really sensitive to light.

When I was little all kids learned to read time on a Judy clock.
I believe it was Kindergarten or First Grade.





My brother and I had this build-a-clock toy.
It all comes apart and you have to assemble it to work right.
It didn't even need batteries.
We played with it all the time.

It taught us to assemble gears and understand how clocks work.
It was a really popular toy in the 60s-70s.




I can't picture time not being "round".


Edit: I just discovered I can switch to analogue time on my laptop!

Agreed on Round faced clocks……seen those build a clock sets , used to admire them but never had one. Still own a analog faced wristwatch or two around here.took me awhile to get the time on the hands of the clock right. WHen was a little one. Have ten large analog wall hanging clocks , one digital , atomic clock never had the interest in replacing the batteries in it . When they went dead. 2 of the wall clocks do not work now ,one is a actual plug in the wall old wood mantel clock. I collected years ago. Till it got noises needs a good cleaning ,I think, Other not working one is a 7 day windup inherited from Grandfather . Lovely wood , worth too much for me to keep . Tired of winding it up each week. But all are alittle different times , but I go by my kitchen wall clock, which is always set 20 mins ahead , Even then ,I sometimes end up late for appts.

I only have round wristwatches.
I used to have a Swatch when they were the big thing in the 80s.
Then I had one with removable coloured rings? (Will google).
I don't like wearing watches at all but I had to wear them for work.

The only watch I like wearing is my dad's old one.
It has a stretchy steel band and an analogue face.
I forget what brand it is.
I wore it today actually as a good luck token for my brother.

Nice coincidence one of my recent discoveries around here was my fathers old analog wrist watch..and yes
I think they are good luck charms of sorts too. Recently started wearing it occasionally too.
It is made by Elgin, I do not know if that is good or not ..But it keeps good time.

This was my watch with removable rings.
It was Gucci.
I think it came with a bunch of colours but you could buy more.

Of course the NT standard was that one's watch had to match their clothes.
And handbags had to match shoes.
And never wear white after Labour Day.

I'm so glad I snapped out of all that.

Am pretty much lucky if my clothes are regularily clean enough,to wear on any day . Much less Labour day..lolz
