People being rude when you ask questions

Most people are not rude, when I ask questions.

A few of my previous bosses were, because I ask questions to make advances at work. My boss wants me to remain a "beginning colleague", she refused to answer and gets angry. She wants to continue "babysitting" me. If other colleagues ask her questions, she is willing to answer.

Depends upon the question.

If you're asking questions that most folks consider "too personal" then yes... they arent gonna be polite to you.

But on the other hand a supervisor in a job situation should be willing to answer job related questions.

Personally, I sometimes sense those subtle brush-offs, and even others changing (or more rarely, reverting to) the topics of conversations in such situations.

It depends on what you are asking. If they are judgmental questions, yes people will get mad. If they are accusatory questions as in you are questioning them, people will get mad. If they are personal questions where it's NOYB, people will get mad.
