I'd rather wear a T-shirt that has something to do with a special interest of mine, than an autism T-shirt. Especially one that has puzzle pieces.

Makes sense to me. The only T-shirt with writing on it I ever wore was one that had the name of my band on it. That was a special interest.

I personally wouldn’t wear an autism related shirt, unless I was at some event related to autism itself. I mask in public so revealing that I’m autistic (and different) in an obvious manner is counterproductive. I might as well let the mask slip all the way off. Yeah, no thanks.

My Germany shirts are my autism shirts because that country is a strong special interest for me.

It's not a dis, but it's inappropriate. Don't put a damned target on your back (literally). NTs still think Autism = Rain Man. Nothing against Rain Man, but NTs hate Rain Man - they WILL discriminate, and they don't understand the Autistic spectrum. Wearing a shirt won't change their limited perceptions. Don't make yourself a target for the NT masses.
