Lots of stuff, especially by The Barenaked Ladies, Green Day, Michelle Branch, Evanescence, Linkin Park, Maroon 5, Alanis Morisette, Jason Mraz, and Weird Al Yankovic.

I have a friend who has much better taste in music who is introducing me to metal bit-by-bit; I've listened to Helloween and Bind Guardan for awhile now, and I really like the album "Rabbit Don't Come Easy." The thing is, if that album weren't metal, it would be condiered too sappy to have any male publically admit they listen to it!! !

Garbage, Moby, The Killers, Audioslave, Weird Al Yankovic, Coldplay, Jem, Keith Urban, Dana Lyons...I'll think of some more later on.

This doesn't really answer the question as I don't really listen to any of this now but here's a list of stuff that's been pretty important to me...

van morrison
television
tom verlaine
tim buckley
leonard cohen
jeff buckley
beastie boys
gram parsons

in my younger years I was a card-carrying member of the religion known as joy division

I think most stuff around now is awful - coldplay, radiohead etc

kids today..........

I prefer a vartiety of music, and most metal is just too heavy for my tastes. Meh, I likes mah tekno. Also got lots of 80's and "Southern" Rock. What category would Aerosmith be put in? Jazz Rock?! Oh, and Depeche Mode ownzorz u all!! ! And I can't forget musicals, especially Chicago and Phantom. And a bunch of random depressing/goth/metal bands. Not much metal, most metal creeps me out. Has anyone heard of "The Art Of Noise"? No one I know has ever heard of them before.

Aerosmith
Andrew Lloyd Webber (Phantom)
Bon Jovi
Chicago, the Musical
Daft Punk
Darude
Def Leppard
Depeche Mode (WOO!)
Durna Duran
Eiffel 65
Guns N' Roses
John Williams (yay! Star Wars)
Led Zeppelin
Linkin Park
Michael Jackson
Nightwish
No Doubt
Poison
Queen
Radio Head (very little)
Rammstein
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Scissor Sisters
Scooter
Skinny Puppy (very little, don't like singer's voice)
Styx
The Art Of Noise
The Killers
The Smashing Pumpkins

These are only bands I have more than once on my playlist.

Sleater-Kinney
Sarah Dougher
Elliott Smith
Quasi
The Ramones
Juliana Hatfield
Mary Lou Lord
The Gossip
Bikini Kill
Le Tigre
The Beatles
Bach
Vivaldi

I like quite a few other bands, but these are my favorites.

They Might Be Giants.
Bob Marley and The Wailers.
Terrorvision.

You have the best taste in music Malcolm_Scipo. I don't agree with all those bands but most of them I like. Most of my favourites are up there.

I can't afford many CD's, I get my musical fix by taping Rage (a music video show) every week.

And from that I'm currently listening to Nine Inch Nails- Only.

It is annoying that my friends say that quite a bit of my taste in music sucks. But these are a few friends. Many like it.
