I can relate to that: being ignored.

In my childhood and puberty I was bullied, but later on bullying got way more subtle: gaslighting, ignoring and being angry with no reason or lousy excuse.

Finding a girlfriend was difficult. Women tend to ignore me; orher guys are more interesting. If a woman is not interested, I am the one who is ignoring: I will ignore her.

Talking in a group is difficult. People listen to each other but not to me, when I try to say something. They also ignores my non-verbal signs, like looking at them, audibly breathing in, and attempting saying or repeating the first word of a sentence. If I accuse them, they say: "Hey, don't interrupt! Can't you see that we are talking?"

My boss ignores my skills; he is not interested. My learning capacity doesn't interest him. He refused to teach me anything. He wants someone experienced.

I don't have to pretend. My super power is I turn invisible around attractive women.

When I was a child, I used to daydream that I was a ghost because I felt that invisible in my house, my life, sometimes. It was like I was see through. Honestly though, it was better than being seen in my house. I mostly never have minded being invisible, most of the time I'd prefer it to be that way.

But on the times I wish I was seen, was heard, damn, that hurts. And the kicker? It most often happens with people I should be able to count on to be there for me and hear me and not random people... those one's the randos, they flock to me like moths to the flame because I'm some weird shiny or something. If I knew how to flip that round, I totally would. I'd rather be seen by a few and ignored by the masses. *shrugs* Life is weird sometimes.

Well, they look straight through my adult daughter, she’s very pretty and autistic and selectively mute in public, she gives off a vibe with the way she holds herself physically, trying to shrink herself. Even her own extended family look straight through like she is invisible. Shame on them, they have all the social ability, yet they choose the easy way.

Well, that's social hierarchy for you
They have to assert some sort of perverse superiority over "your kind", so they use collective passive-aggression.
Not uncommon in my young adult days, I'm afraid. :(
