My husband used to wear glasses. About 7 years ago he had laser surgery on his eyes and he now has perfect vision.

A friend of mine wears contact lenses. We lift weights together at the gym. I know she's working hard when she says, 'Oh my god, I thought my contact lenses were going to pop out!'

Rigid gas permeable very little over the last 13 years. My corneas are too steep. So wearing them is nightmarish with flashes of light as they will not set still. (try balancing a plate on a pencil that is moving to to get the concept :) ) I left them at my old job and have no plans to every use them again.

I have been wearing contact lenses for 26 years! When it was first discovered I needed glasses when I was 13, for some reason my mother wanted me to have contacts. I don't know why, she just did.

I'm currently using O2 Optix 2 week disposables. I think they are OK, but not great, and I prefer the regular lenses. Sometimes they feel fine, others they fell scratchy. I ended up with these because my optometrist pitched them to me as a daily wear lens that would allow more oxygen into my eyes, which sounded good, but he didn't tell me they were 2 week disposables! When I got the boxes home and found each one had 6 lenses in them, I went on the web and found out.

I plan to switch back on my next prescription if I can. I also found out the lenses I was using before these are no longer available, which my have been the reason for the switch as well.

Yes, I've worn contacts for 15 years (since I was 13).

Had a problem putting RGP's in and they were so uncomfortable I stopped wearing them after a year, but never any issues with soft contacts.

Well, except the toric softs don't correct my vision well. Considering LASIK, but since I'm a pilot and need to be 20/20, I'm too paranoid.

But no, I've never had issues with me or others touching my eyes. I'll even use a finger to rotate the lens around when it gets blurry.

I'd worn contacts from 2003-2007, and have had no 0problems whatsoever. Then, too, I got used to digging around in my eye. One possibility to consider is PRK vision correction surgery. I had it done, and can't complain. It solves the dilemma of contacts and glasses altogether. Just a thought. It may or may not be right for you.

I've been wearing contact lenses for about five months now, and I don't really have a problem with them (though sometimes they get really dry and it's annoying). It's glasses that I hate.

I have worn glasses since I was 12, and I'm ok with them. But I would like to wear fashion contact lenses simulating red eyes :) just for fun. The problem I think I can't use contact lenses because I frequently have problems with eye irritation.
