I speak very loudly, and I can't help it.

Depends on my mood.

Usually I mumble. If someone asks me "how's my day going" I'll usually just mumble “okay” or “alright”. People usually take this to mean I'm depressed when I'm not. Oh well, I'm not very good at BSing a cheery tone when I'm not feeling super congenial. That takes way too much energy for me.

On the flip side, if I'm excited I tend to talk way too loud. I'm not excited too much though. Just once in a while.

Definitely on the quiet mumbly end, here. Although I tend to speak up more when I'm excited, it really just turns into a normal voice...

The fact that it is often a monotone mumble doesn't help either...

Oh, I do tend to be loud when I'm dealing with the dogs. They seem to respect and understand that much better.

I apparently am loud. To me, I'm talking soft, but to others, I'm always yelling. :p

And I'm not hard on hearing either.

Yup, like most... I either am talking too loud or too soft.

Mostly it's too soft, I have problems regulated my voice. I don't know how loud I have to talk to get my message across... and I don't want to talk too loud... I hate people who are too forceful with their voice.

Often, when I am with my friends... I'll get quite loud. It's annoying, sometimes people will tell me to speak more softly...

i mumble, i don't want much attention, but since i often say things that people don't want to be heard i get the attention anyways, so most of the time i shut the f*** up. And i can't stand loud voices, like people think i'm deaf. And i don't like to repeat myself. I think talking should be illegalized (no, i'm kidding, people just talk to much).

I am LOUD LOUD LOUD!! ! It is partly because of my sensitive hearing because it means I cannot tune out background noise so I feel a constant need to yell to get my point across! My NT brother mumbles way too much...

I mumble or talk nasally, and lots of people cannot understand me. I think that the mumbling part came from the fact that I had crooked teeth most of my life, and I didn't want anyone to see them. Now that I have had some "bonding" done on my teeth, I'm not afraid to open my mouth. But, it's hard to break old habits!
I read somewhere that "Aspies" tend to pick up on the vocal styles that they heard when they were very young. My earliest memories were of the "I Love Lucy" show, and I think that I picked up Lucy's whiny, nasally voice (even though I am a guy!). At least I don't have a Cuban accent--ha ha!

I often am told that I mumble; I dont realise that I'm doing it, after all, I can hear me. I think its just others are a little deaf beacause they have their sterios turned up too loud most of the time!

I've mumbled a lot, but I've never shouted or talked too loud.

I mumble, most of the times. I'm not very eloquent, so I don't talk much. When I want to say something, it's almost like every word I can think of, comes to my head at the same moment. That makes me say things out of order or stammer in the beginning of each phrase. Sometimes, I miss the right word, so I can't finish whatever I was saying. But, it doesn't matter, I sound stupid anyway.

I think I tend to mumble, because often people ask me to repeat what I've said. But when I think I'm being funny and/or just want to freak people out, I start shouting.

If I don't know you and I actually talk to you (this is a highly unlikely event): I mumble. If I know you, I guess I'm "normal".

Both! I'm either shouting or mumbling, and I hate it. I just can't seem to talk at a happy-medium level.
