Well, I didn't bother reading all of it, but I DID see that over half are under a special class where the school has "permission" to inflict extreme aversive punishment like starvation and electrocution. Granted, some would like to use terms that mitigate it more, but let's call it what it is. Also, about 30% are autistic, and most are of, or near, normal intelligence.

BTW I was at a normal private school that spanked kids that they felt deserved it. I was spanked, prior to 8 years of age, but NEVER deserved it. BTW that paddle wasn't small, either.

was that in the time it was legally allowed?
at school,am was thrashed with heavy wooden rulers and slammed into the tables and held on them from early nineties onwards,it was illegal then, but they got away with it.

Well, with me, it happened in the 60s, early 70s. It is ASTOUNDING that I am still decent.

You know, that is around the time I even used angel hair on a kid that was attacking me. It works JUST as well on adults, and I could have used it on them too. I didn't, but could have. About 10 years later a teachers car was damaged by another student that "merely" had his personal space invaded. You would THINK the idiot administrators would at least think about THAT.

That report has to be one of the saddest things I've ever read. It makes me just want to go rescue all the people there. Autistics don't have empathy? What about horrible situations like this where the NT individuals clearly aren't showing empathy.
Here's another report http://www.kevinleitch.co.uk/wp/?p=374, and a video of NBC investigating JRC if anyone is interested:

:x I wish whoever compiled that video didn't put that music, how am I supposed to listen to it? I just can't listen more than 10 seconds without blowing a fuse, which is a shame because I do want to know about it. You think the actual message is more important than soundtrack and special effects. .

I know, that irritated me too. Here's a link to the person's page that made it. http://youtube.com/user/christschool He said that he was gonna make one without the music, but I can't find it. Maybe, you can ask him if he still has the original video. Usually his videos are very good, so I don't know what happened when he made this one. He has a lot of videos speaking about autism advocacy, and has started an organization to directly benifet autistics.

Finely spun glass. It is pretty irritating! You could even likely put a little bit in their purse. They would likely run it through their fingers trying to figure out what it is, and it CAN feel nice. They could end up itching for several days!

Fibreglass is generally made out of a cloth(The cloth is coated with a resin to create fibreglass) made out of what is basically angelhair, so I guess you can say that.
