Stargate rocks!

But who is that?

It is the travel writer/broadcaster, Alan Whicker. He used to present these television programmes about travelling around the world, so I thought I would re-cast him as travelling slightly off world. I got the idea from seeing an ancient re-run of one of his shows on Sky Travel, where there was a Concorde Aeroplane taking off behind him, so I had the picture of the Stargate in my mind, as this was one of the things I was really into a few years ago.

As you can clearly see, I don't do much on my really old, practically useless computer. I don't know why it's so big. :?

And here's a piece of my WinAmp playlist.

POVray, I did use rhino about 6 or 7 years ago, but have not had a windows PC since 1999 so have not seen it since. It was easy to use but I prefer the interface of povray :D

If you dont know what I mean by that povray is a scripting renderer, there aer apps that can generate povray scripts, but I use a plain text editor, it's very cool.

It's good fore me any way.

Never really got into KDE myself, seemed too cluttered and too much likea windows clone, but that was back in 1998-1999, have not bothered to look at it since.

But that said, aint choice grand! If I really wanted to all I have to do is log out and log back in selecting KDE and I caould try it in an instant, try that on a windoze box. Unix sure does the trick for me.
