YES! I can't stand any eating noises. Why do people find it so difficult to chew with their mouths shut? No one wants to see that, either. I also hate the sound of animals eating, or licking themselves. And the nastiest sound in the world: TV make-out scenes! All that breathing and smacky noises... ack!

OMG that is one of my worst sensory issues! Any chewing or swallowing! I, in fact, have frequently worn earphones during dinner with my family because I cannot tolerate it. It makes me feel sick to my stomach.

I once had a big German Shepherd dog who liked to lick his penis and balls and he would make these big loud slurping sounds which drove me nuts (not a long drive, by the way!) I couldn't in all fairness scold him for this, as it was just his dog thing, so I used to have to put a pair of old scivvies on him, with a hole cut out for his tail, when it was impractical to put him outdoors.
The only thing worse than hearing people masticate is SEEING them masticate with their mouths open!! ! Children tend to do this. Yeegh!! !

This reminded me of the movie "The Road to Wellville", where somebody was asking someone "Do you masticate?"

I do not like any eating sounds. For some reason there's specific people that sound way worse then others while chewing, and swallowing. I'm not sure why, though. My brother, and my daughter are two of those people. My mom used to make the whole family sit at the dinner table to eat supper, and I would fly into a tantrum, because I just couldn't sit next to my brother while he ate. I used to get into so much trouble for hurting his feelings, or being rude, but I couldn't help it. My daughter has always been a loud eater, too. She just got braces, so it's intensified the noise. I just try to politely excuse myself when she's eating near me. I don't want to hurt her feelings, because it's not her fault.

I started to notice that certain sounds really bugged me within the past 5 years. Either I didn't notice it before or it's new. I can't stand the sound of little noises and I feel jumpy to the sound of slammed doors. Popping off the tops of wine bottles and the whole smacking and crunching sound didn't bother me until a few years ago. I don't know why after all these years it suddenly became something I could no longer stand to hear.

I HATE that noise. Since the age of 12 I have not sat for dinner with anyone. I can (strangely) tolerate my rabbit eating though!

Yes! Very little drives me away from a situation more quickly than loud eating. Some people are worse than others - I am not able to eat at the table with my father, for example.

I actually like to hear my dogs eating their hard food...odd since I generally can't stand to hear humans eat.

From a strange perspective, I think the crunching sound when people are masticating is very soothing. But the sounds that really annoy me are the sounds of my dog licking his balls and the sound of my Algebra/Chemistry teacher yelling in my ear!

OK, HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT! Breathing too; go away. Don't chomp, rustle your chip bag, slurp, chew gum, whatever near me or even close enough for me to hear. It makes my skin crawl and makes me want to be violent. Can I add jingling change in one's pocket? I have left lines I was waiting in because someone was doing any of the above. Oh, I am NT, but have sensory sensitivity with noise. And, turn the friggen tv down...I can hear it through the wall...
