An annoying phrase ? "Let's move on"

I hate hearing that when I am not done talking about something and I hate having my questions unanswered. Stupid people. :x

All those cliches, any cliches, are meant to make people NOT THINK. That's what all cliches have in common. Think positive, move on, life's too short, that's the way it is, don't think too much, go with the flow, etc. etc.

I'm pretty sure you're both right, one is saying that sometimes people don't realise their own racism or try to play down their racism with a phrase that contradicts their next statement and the other is saying that sometimes the word racist can be missapplied, how are these two things mutally exclusive?

That's another thing that annoys me because often it seems like they're just saying that because they realise they've stuffed up and don't want to admit it, of course there are other reasons like trying to avoid more conflict but the first example always enters my head whenever I hear it.
