I just think there are plenty of cool avatars out there for people to choose without having to resort to having violent or grisly ones.
To be honest, though, I didn't understand the Barney one, I didn't know what I was looking at!

Whenever possible, I try to encourage people to use a pic of themself for an avatar.

I have no avatar because I can't think of anything that I'd want to represent me.

And I'd never post a photo of myself. I hate it when people take photos of me.

Which is strange because I own a camera and take photos of other people.

Getting bqck to the topic, I like Nomaken's avatar. I like anime. I like the movement. I think it's clever and surprising when first seen, and soothing when I see it repeat over and over.

I wish I could come up with something that cool for my avatar.

I don't have an objection to anybody's avatar. I think if they find something that they feel represents them, they should be able to use it.

Ah, ah, ah... Since I have not used these as my avatars they are technically not mine and thus only random pictures which seem to pertain to the general subject of the thread.
