Digging in the dirt is good, but not anywhere near as good as playing in the mud. 'Til this day, I see mud, I have a really hard time resisting the urge to knead my hands all through it. Pretty peculiar seeing a grown woman playing in the mud at the playground while her child's looking at her like "what the hell, mom?"

I used to make pretend drinks, like "dirtade", "grassade", "sandade", "peatade" etc. And put them in old Corona bottles.

I loved digging in the dirt as a child, but I guess digging in the cat litter box for so many years kind of cured that.

I've spent more than a little time convinving anyone with a garden that what they really really need is a moat.

Digging is the single most therapeutic thing I have ever found in life. When our cat lost two kittens, they were buried in a four foot deep by four foot wide hole, complete with a brick mausoleum, because I just kept digging.

There is very little in life that cant be solved by digging a hole, to my mind. I even bought an east german army entrenching tool, just so I can dig more.

My landlord is going to kill me. hehe

I love moats too! When I was little I was convinced that my house needed a moat, but was disappointed when I figured out how much water one would require.

I use a moat to keep ants out of my outdoor cat's food dish. Works great.

I've always liked the engineering aspect of castles.

Easily solved. Fill it full of s**t and sharpened stakes. (Hacking through the sewage pipes will do the first spectacularly. Have to be creative with the second)

When I was younger, I liked digging in the dirt. I would use sticks and spoons to make little caves for my toy animals to "sleep" in. One time I actually attempted to dig to China using a shovel, but I only got about three feet in before I hit a rock.

The sharpened stakes aren't that difficult either: old fashioned pike-like fence posts should do the trick! :P  :P

I'm to assume you have worms.

If what you mean is, "Have you found a lot of worms?," yes I have (and dissect them all the time too).

If what you mean is, "Do I have worms floating in my body?," (which is my interpretation of your statement) than no I do not.

Actually, yes! When I was younger (and I am still like this today, though it is latent) I was almost obsessed with digging and dirt. I loved geology, making tunnels, caves, I was into all of that.

Actual archaeological digs were my favorite part of my archaeology degree. :D
