What are your stims?

Moving my fingers rapidly (hard to explain - looks really odd), pacing, occasionally odd facial expressions/contortions and body movements, throwing myself onto my bed when I'm really excited.

Squealing and shaking my fists, almost like hand flapping, but closed hands. Repeatedly touching anything that feels pleasing on my fingers, usually something soft. I used to carry around fistfuls of lint when I was little for this purpose. I also REALLY REALLY like to feel the tension of something that automatically closes once it gets to a certain point. Like my lighter. Or the lid on the baby wipe container. I just play with the lid back and forth at the point where I feel the tension, and it's like heaven to me.

I used to suck a lock of my hair when younger but now make an effort not to stim in public (but not always successful!). At home, will generally scratch my head or pick at something.

I crack my fingers, if that's stimming. I also used to disassemble pens when I got bored in the classroom.

I wave my hands - such a fluttering movement - or only fingers, especially those middle ones.

I play with my hair a lot.

Also I move my hands in different directions and spin around sometimes. These two are mostly when I'm listening to my music though. I tend to really get into it without thinking.

I haven't put a whole lot of thought into this, actually. I think most of it I still do without being aware that I'm doing it at all. I know a big one for me is picking at myself. My cuticles are always looking incredibly ragged. Or anything with my hands in general... moving my fingers around, cracking my knuckles, etc. I know I mess with my hair a lot, too. I also stare a lot at completely random objects. I often put myself in them or find patterns, or do something mentally with whatever I'm looking at. Can't really explain it. Also pace, odd facial expressions, or just fiddle with anything I can get my hands on.

Picking scabs (yes I know...gross), rubbing the palm of my hand up and down my cheek, flapping my hands when excited, pulling hairs out of my eyebrows.

Squatting on chairs, looking at my hands, wriggling my toes, scratching my scalp to remove dandruff, biting my own teeth and, as Reodor Felgen said, disassembling pens (especially those 4-coloured BIC ones).
