When I was between the ages of 10 and 12, I had an all consuming intererest in baseball and the Chicago Cubs. I grew out of it at the age of 12, and never watched sports again.
I also, rather oddly, at that age also watched professional wrestling, and thought that it was real.
It is supposed to be an Aspie trait (I think) not to have an interest in professional sports.
How about you?
Baseball was HUGE in my life for several years, then I just lost interest. Right about at the same age as you, too.
I loved the stats, even though I hate math. I seem to remember odd strings of numbers really well, I'm just not able to do much beyond calculate a tip.
I only liked AL, though, never knew jack about NL. The All-Star game was like watching people play against aliens with their own set of rules.
I swear I knew everyone's batting average, slugging %, who had the lowest ERA from week to week
