I suppose, that on this particular occassion, someone else other than myself may be right. Maybe. I do not find it pleasurable, though, and it is not the part about removing skin blemishes. If I did that, I would be doing it all day. I am not ashamed of it, annoyed that I am doing it, yes, not ashamed. It is not stopping me from going to work or anything. It needs a better name than dermatillomania, mind, I am not putting up with that. Sounds like a wrestling event, or a b-movie.

Update, I have stopped scratching. I texted my friend, who is a behaviourist, and she ignored the text. Sending the text was attention seeking apparently, although I was sending it as more of a warning...Anyway, she got me to start writing down my thoughts and what makes me react badly. I am not ready to go online with that yet, but yesterday, day one of Speedy's journal, I wrote 9 pages. I actually feel better for it, it shed some of the thoughts that go round my head, and I found myself focusing on other things and less repetitive thought. Well, less thoughts to go over, anyway. Thank you for all the input here, I shall update if there is any change.
