Ahh! Gaelic. That's a confusing language to read at first. Very interesting one. I like seeing the Anglicized writing of people's names and then seeing them translated into true Gaelic form.

Shouldn't that be "Ich liebe Asperger-Syndrom?"

And shouldn't the word Sch--ße only be used in some situations? Such as being upset at the governor here in Kalifornia? :D ROTFL

Goddamit. No fun when someone comes along and deciphers what ive typed in gaelic. As for most of the other languages here, it must be hard learning them when the letters/shapes are totally different to english/french/gaelic etc.

Eamon, know its not hard.....It is easier for me to read and write ASIAN Languages becasue the charecters ARE different. You cannot mess up mentaly or visually becasue you have something new to memorise, like spanish compared to English. Many speakers see the letters and make the English sound for the spanish word.

It is easier to learn Asian languages for this reason. Yes you have something new to learn. But when it is new and fresh and you cannot relate it to something else it is easier.

It know Korean, and Japanese......

Eamonn,

You should try Korean. I garuntee if you can do Gaelic (I cannot figure that out for the life of me!) then you probably can learn Korean (which IS easier than Japanese.)

I dont really know much Gaelic really or have the motivation right now to learn any new language as i regularly have trouble expressing myself in the English language. Why did you learn Japanese and Korean Dej? Is it just a hobby or could you see yourself getting a job out of it or move there?

Eamonn,

I just realised ealy on that I have a gift for learning Languages. I love Asian culture and Langugaes. Somehow I can easily relate to them and feel close to them, even though I am caucasian American born and raised. I mean really how many blonde hair, blue eyed girls do you know that can read, write, and speak Korean or Japanese?

I am studying to get my degree in Second Language Studies. I enjoy teaching ESL, and with my knowledge of my Asian Languages I am hoping to be a teacher of them as well (and teach the Americans)

I love Asia very much, but it is strange to not fit in not only becasue of AS, but also culturally and physically as well. I really blow them (Asians) away when they know of my talent.

Im always fascinated when someone goes and does something completely unusual (To me anyway). I know how things work in Glasgow and grew up here but i still get lost sometimes and iquite like the idea of moving to the country so i cant see me moving somewhere that i would stand out like that Dej. I hear they arent keen on physical contact in Japan and value manners and quiteness so it sounds like my kind of place in that sense.

Vetivert, of what little Gaelic i do know, i find Irish Gaelic a little easier as well, thats why i used Irish in my post.
