My paranoia is all about trust as well. My behaviourist friend aked me why I have trouble trusting people, or have feelings of being judged. I said I do not know, but I if I knew, I would not be paranoid. Being a paranoid obsessive, now that is a different thing altogether.

Not so much when trusting peers, but a whole lot when it comes to trusting authorities.
People call me a conspiracy nut or paranoid. I just call them uninformed and naive.
There are a few things that has been proven time and again throughout history.
Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Authorities don't want what's good for you. They want what's good for them.
They will always deceive you. So it's only healthy to be wary of them.

I back into parking spaces (fast getaway ), always insist that I sit in the chair facing the most common entrance/exit at restaurants, coffee shops, etc., I don't like my back exposed...
My former wife always said I must have someone who's after me because of this behavior... even got our daughter into joking about it... but I'm serious when I demand a particular seat out in public.
I wouldn't call myself paranoid though... just cautious.
