They were testing specifically for Asperger's. They had him back there for an hour & fifteen minutes.

My son can talk to an adult all day long about anything and everything. The news, weather, NASCAR, movies, Taekwondo.....anything. For hours!

But he can not and will not carry on a converstation with his peers for more than 1 minute. He rambles on....they become irritated and walk away. Adults tell me they love to hear him talk. he's so cute.....talks like an adult....very entertaining. They love him to death.

[quote="@KRIZDA88 - as for what's an official diagnosis I think that would count, after all, all medical doctors get some psych training. I mean if it needed to be really "official" official it would have to be written down and documented by a psychologist, but they probably wouldn't do that unless you needed it documented in order to "prove" it to someone (school accommodations etc)[/quote]

It's official then , cause I see a phychologist for it, and she has gotten involved with getting me a double room to myself here at school.

fault. He's a large, out-of-focus monster, and that's extra scary to me.

he's saw a psychologist at a childrens hospital.

Yeah....we have to get an offical dx for the school to offer him OT & speech/language therapy.

He excels in Science & subjects like that. way ahead of where the other kids are. BUT....he struggles with handwritting (horrid - poor motor skills), language & reading.

He reads 2 grade levels ahead but comprehension is terrible. Everything is literal with him.
