When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

CT scan with contrast: Brain parenchymal volume and ventricular system are within normal limits. No intracranial hemorrage, abnormal extra-axial fluid collection, mass lesion, mass effect, or abnormal contrast enhancement is identified. Brain parenchymal density is within normal limits. Expected vascular enhancement is present. Orbits, osseous calvarium and visualized paranasal sinuses are satisfactory. Unremarkable pre- and post-contrast CT scan head.

MRI with contrast: The gray and white matter is normal for the patient's age. There is no evidence for mass, mass effect, shift of midline, or herniation. The ventricles are of normal size. There is no evidence for intracranial hemorrhage. There is normal flow void in the anterior and posterior circulation. The visualized sinuses are unremarkable. Contrast enhancement is within normal limits. Normal MRI of the brain with contrast.

MRA: MR angiography demonstrates conventional anatomy in the anterior and posterior circulation with normal branch vascular anatomy of the anterior, middle, and posterior cerebral arteries. No significant stenosis is seen. The anterior communicating, posterior communicating, basilar tip, and middle cerebral artery bifurcations are all unremarkable. Dural venous sinuses are widely patent. Negative MR angiography. No evidence of aneurysm or stenosis.

Unremarkable, conventional, and normal... If only people would describe my behavior that way!

An MRI is not a clinical diagnosis of autism. I had an MRI two years ago, and they really can't commit much to them. Human brains vary too much.

I had an MRI to check for holes inside my brain. They didn't find any.

The same thing happened to me. About two years ago, I went through a "phase" of blacking out. The doctors thought that I could have a brain tumour, did not find anything although my EEG did show some abnormalities.

I was tested for epilepsy about a month later and tests showed that I do not have it. Various other brain tests were run and did show some abnormalities...I can't remember specifically what as they didn't tell me exactly.

There was no cause found for my black outs.
To this day, I am wondering if I have some kind of ESP....I doubt it though.

Had two MRIs in past year. First one found my brain, I guess the second was to make sure...

Showed white patches in the grey matter in excess of what would be expected for someone my age. What this means... who knows ...

What did they do the the pituitary tumour? Do you have ongoing probs?

I have a prob with my pituitary in that it doesn't send the right messages to my adrenals and I have a screwed up stress response... not uncommon in ASD apparently. Apparently ASD is incredibly stressful on the whole body, brain & nervous system.

Anyone else with stuff like this?

I had an accident on my bike and they feared I had a head injury (or they wanted to increase my hospital bill, one or the other.

Anyways, they found I did not have a concusion, and that because I dont have health inshurance like 49,999,999 other Americans, it took me a year and a half to pay the $3000 in hospital bills, outa pocket.

Nah, they still havent done anything for it. My neurologist said, theres basically nothing they can do at the moment, and its not affecting me to the point i can't function. What does the pituitary gland exactly do anyways?

It's important for secreting hormones, like growth hormone, endorphines, ACTH, FSH, LH, antidiuretic hormone, etc. It affects growth, blood pressure, pregnancy and childbirth, sex organ functions, thyroid gland function, and metabolism

Yes, good description. The pituitary gland has a big influence on the whole body and all of its processes because it basically controls the endocrine system.

I had MRI's, EEG's, and CAT scans for various reasons. One of the reasons is that I had many seizures but the 2 day long EEG found nothing wrong so it was just conversion disorder that was doing it to me. Also all of the scans found no brain there in my head. It was empty. How sad. I wonder how I have been living without a brain. That's why me so dumb. I took an IQ test and the results were negative.
