I like Christmas because I can get more video games.

I generally like the holiday because of the week I get off of work. But for the most part it's just another day. It's been a long long time since I've woken up excited on Christmas day.

I'm really hoping my mom will give me cash so I can buy the video game I want, Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal. She'll probably get me some junk though. We'll see.

I like Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations.

I'm spending Christmas alone mostly because I hate over half my family and I'm still not too keen on organizing things with whatever remains of it. There's been too much bullying, slandering, hipocrisy and generally unpleasant situations over the years. . .

Oddly enough, what I enjoy is the large family meals, relaxing, watching the fireworks and having extra days off work/study. As a kid I was also fascinated by the presents and by being the one in charge of setting up the Christmas tree.

I wish I could spend it with my girlfriend but she's overseas so I guess I'll try to chillax and be on msn.

Funny, I was about to go on about how much I hate Christmas, its repetition, its crass commercialism, etc. But I've learned to work it more to my favor these past few years.

While living alone, I dreaded it and found some obsession-driven project to dive into from Thanksgiving to New Years. Painless. Girlfriends brought kids into the equation, and it was fun giving them a good holiday to remember.

Now married twenty years, I get involved in small-town community activities, with no sign of shopping mall. No Santa unless kids are around. Mostly look forward to giving away food baskets for the needly in our area. But that crosses the line with me around Christmas in general: Peace on Earth, Goodwill Toward All, should not be relegated to a single season.
