Yeah. He probably thought "Asperger's" was some weird way of writing "Aspergillus".

Autoimmune diseases or neurological problems can be as a result of developmental or birth complications, vaccines, and yes mold. It wouldn't surprise me if it affects ones behaviour

Same with chronic illnesses.

There should be more awareness on the correlation between mold exposure and ill health

He should check his voicemail ... the 21st century has been trying to reach him for over 2 decades, now...

Since this is a necrobumped thread from 2005, hopefully, this person retired a long time ago.

Because the name "Asperger's" is such an ugly, cringing name and doesn't at all sound like the non-life-threatening neurological disorder that it is.

That, or it sounds like a vegetable, asparagus.

this really bugs me, still. when we first went to visit the orthodontist my mom had too fill out papers on me, and the dentist asked if aspergers was another word for mold gorwing on my legs and or back. I'd never heard of that, and it offended me. and I still can't help but think of it every time we go.

I would've laugh at the statement. It's too absurd.

But seriously.
Unless it is directly or at least indirectly relevant -- mental health, behaviorism, perception/sensory, stress, psychology, neurology...
Which orthodontics is so far irrelevant to the matter (unless one stims with their jaws)...

I specifically told my mom and everyone who tries to speak for me for medical reasons to never mention aspergers.
Unless I say it is relevant.

Right, From 2005 to 2021, I would think is unfair and ridiculous to keep on the complain about people's ignorance of AS from 2005 in 2021.

Reminds me of that scene in "All in the Family".

The meathead son in law explains that he is "an agnostic".

Edith asks "what's an agnostic?".

Archie barks "I think it means that he cant have kids!".
