I had a similar belief- that there was a basic set of knowledge that everyone but me was born with. Wasted a lot of time trying to figure out just what it was and how it came to be that I didn't have it too.

Are there any good available online tests for theory of mind? I assume not(reliable online tests themselves rarely exist!).

There aren't even any reliable offline tests for it. As a psychologist friend of mine says, they are not even sure what the existing tests measure most of the time; and that the methodology is currently under complete review as being seriously suspect/weak.

So how do psychologists truly determine who is autistic and who isn't then? Meeting the threshold criteria listed in the DSM-IV doesn't seem to be reliable enough, IMO.
