I tend to have an obsession for up to three years, then suddenly lose all interest in it and pursue a new one.

Same...one will suddenly die out, often it a lot of info isnt there to feed it.

Same here, my obsessions ease off if I am unable to find information on a subject for a certain period of time and then they go dormant soon after until I run into new stuff on the subject
