Anybody ever seen the movie "The Wizard"?

There is a young man from Burnaby BC who is an amazingly good pinball player, just like a real Wizard!

It WAS a nintendo advertisement. They financed it. Doesn't make it any less of a good movie.


Same thing with Willie Wonka and the Chocolate factory (the original) - it was financed by the Wonka candy company (as per the audio commentary track on the dvd release).

I was gaga for that movie when it came out. I s*** a brick when they showed SM3. It was a lot like this kid:

As for the autistic boy, I kind of felt like he did, but I wasn't as bashful as he was.

That was one of my favorite movies growing up!

Incidentally, I came close to entering the Nintendo World Championship at about that time.
