Yes, I love monasteries and convents. I've seriously considered becoming a nun.

Huh, the "monas" bit of monastery is the same as mono, one / single / alone, should have realised that.

Sadly most of the monasteries here in England are just ruined shells courtesy of Henry VIII. :?

There are numerous beautiful monasteries here in the Balkans, each with its unique feel. Little windows into history.
