When we're hands-on, people complain. When we're hands-off, people complain. Nothing satisfies everyone.

You cant make everyone happy, but I'm sure you have a better approval rating then President Bush.

Aspie misunderstanding. I thought your comment about having a 'mod' haircut was reference to some old school haircut from the 60s that I didn't know about.

People on here seem to want mods around so they can just ban everyone who disagrees with them.

This is one of the best forums I've ever been on, I don't see how others don't realize that.

The problem isn't the mods.

Cough.

It was a pun.

Because this place is made out of aspies, many conflicts are through misunderstandings that escalate rather than provoked attacks. Postperson's current bone of contention was due to Ana54 making a rather silly statement in her first post in a thread.

Hiya. :) Looks like Quatermass has come to your aid.

Here's some more help. You can visit the WrongPlanet.net Discussion Forum. That's where we talk about what goes on at the site. On the main page, you can see this forum close to the bottom of the forums list, under "Administration".

The first stickied thread can be seen here. It is called "MODERATOR ATTENTION: how to get help when you need it." It contains a list of active moderators and instructions on the best way to get some assistance for the problem at hand.

I don't know that complaining about the mods is a bad thing. I have participated in groups where that is a regular thing at times and it does say something about the site. Also a website where no-one can criticise management or it's reps is not something to be desired. surely? I think Alex seems able to cope with it, he certainly get ripped to shred at some other websites.

Who says I'm wearing a crown? It's more like Heavy is the hand that wields a baton. Authority figures seem to be either detested for holding up the law, or detested for not doing enough.

I've forgotten, which Shakespeare play did that come from? I know it's one of the historicals....

Publicly complaining about the mods is a bad thing.

I'd have to google it to know. I'm embarrassed to that that the first thing I thought of, with that quote, was Limp Bizkit. :P I don't even like them.

You know:

Life is overwhelming
Heavy is the head that wears the crown
I'd love to be the one to disappoint you when I don't fall down

Now I have it as an earworm. >_<
