So I am not surprised then, that you find that aspergers and artistic skill seem to go together (at least for you)
I don't drive either.
I had this sudden burst of self confidence last October and haven't looked back. Started painting like crazy after not lifting a brush or pencil for years, then had weeks at home after hurting my spine at work. Painted some more, then quit my monkey job at Xmas and have been painting ever since. I just emailed Peter Garrett and asked if he'll sit for a portrait I can enter in the Archibald Prize next year.
I might be going out on a limb here, but at least I'm doing what I always wanted to do.
