I also sometimes tap my fingers the "right" way (It only makes sense in my head), and I have to do patterns with my fingers and do them equally (Sometimes I wonder if I have OCDI obsess over anything and panic if something isn't right. I don't have rituals though...)

OCD is when you absolutely have to do it or something goes wrong. Try tricking your mind into avoiding doing what you usually do when tapping your fingers. Like I'll notice myself walking to avoid the cracks on the sidewalk, when I think of it, I stop worrying about it and just walk on the cracks. Nothing changes.

Usually I hardely ever stim, but now I'm constantly spinning around, wringing my hands, rocking back and forth, or my whole body trembles :( Is there anything I should do to reduce this? I know it's caused by stress, but I can't help that I'm caught in the middle of a court battle, so I can't do anything about that.

Quite frankly, stimming is a coping mechanism that will help you. Whenever my autistic friend call me because they're freaking out, the first thing I tell them is to use their stim of choice. Do what you need to do, man. Take solace wherever you can find it.

I've been stimming more too, lately. I think it's because of my job.

Your job as the head Norse god? I'm sorry, Odin, but you're Wotan (or Der Wanderer) to me. Thank Wagner for that one. You might want to check out Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen" if you haven't already.

What stims? What do you mean you sometimes feel you're faking it? Isn't it that you either know or don't know? If you're faking it, that is.

With me, I've realised that I'm stimming less and less and I don't know why. I don't think I'm faking it though, I would know it then.

I'm feeling the total opposite of you right now, just starting to not suppress stims and it makes me so utterly calm, but I thought about something nonetheless.

Have you tried sports? Anything from running in the park, going swimming, any physical activity to professional sports of all kinds, even riding helps a lot.

It's not exactly working on stims, but rather on what you have identified as the cause for the rapid increase of stims - the stress. I don't enjoy the prospect of physical activity when I'm stressed and feeling down after a long stressful time, but when I drag myself to the training, I always realise that it helps to calm my thoughts if I really do the physical activity with mind and soul. Succeeding in whatever the activity is is very important too, so don't try to do something you know will be impossible hard for now.

If any of this is possible and you haven't tried it yet, just try it out.

No, cooking lunch for preschoolers. My boss is a presumptuous b*tch that thinks my co-workers and I think she's always wrong just because we offer opinions and suggestions. :x

School's evil right now, and I know it' s affecting me.
That's a toughie, when your boss is a complete psycho. I had a teacher like that, and I had more meltdown that tiny semester then I've had in one full year!

I have low blood pressure, and so I faint if I run :( Good suggestion though.

First of all, I only feel like I'm faking it when it hasn't happened for a while, and then I have to again. I think that I'm just being silly and try to trick myself into not thinking I stim.

"Why am I doing this today?"

That. I am always quesioning myself. It is odd that I didn't have something one day, and now I do. I, again, question myself of it.

I see what you mean. I sometimes feel loose things and gain others on a daily basis. Especially emotions, the stim-triggering ones.

So shall I presume that Norse godhood is going fine then.

(If you missed this, I'm joking about your username, "Odin")
