No, these people are definitely Brazilian/Portugese speaking hackers. Most of the sites they've hacked are Portugeses.
What I am suggesting is that galatea might be one of these Brazilian hackers. That could be why his spelling is so atrocious. Or maybe it's just a coincidence.
Impressive, Sarcastic and NeantHumain. Though I suppose they aren't the types who would stop if we just asked them nicely. So that leaves us with the question of how to block their attack and prevent future attacks. Not my area of expertise, but the mods are working on it.

I'd like to suggest that WrongPlanet move away from PHP-Nuke as soon as possible, either to a competent CMS or to a database system built from scratch (sounds hideously complex to accomplish, but it really isn't). PHP-Nuke has been packed with a hideous quantity of vulnerabilities from the very beginning and these attacks will only increase in volume as the site becomes more popular. There's really no way to avoid it for as long as we are using PHP-Nuke.
Besides security, it eats up gigantic amounts of bandwidth compared to most systems, especially the message board. A PunBB board that can be set up in fifteen minutes is easier on both the users and the server, not to mention being more stable and easier to administrate.
