I love the smell of freshly washed laundry, tippex and petrol. I could inhale those scents for hours 8)

Tippex is a brand of correction fluid that is used to erase mistakes made with pens.

i like the smell of both the humidifier and the collection tray in a dehumidifier.. i guess its the mix of water and dust.

there are these machines we have at the local zoo. they make these hard wax animals you can take home as a souvenir. the smell of hot, hot wax while the machine is processing the order is irresistible. then you take it home and have a unique airfreshener. they have been there longer than than the galopagos tortoises. and well, lets say i remember seeing them there when iwas three, and now im 31. ahh, the smell of approaching antiquity.

the smell of chickens and chickenpens. kind of sweet, grassy and stinky. in a good way. dont go out there barefoot.

tops of my cats' heads. all different, but all pleasant.

and sweetfeed, a mix of corn, grains, minerals and molasses. smells delicious, like waffles with syrup.

Oh. In the US, it's called White-Out. That does smell good! I just took a whiff from the bottle in my desk. :)

I find it interesting that all of us have affection for similar "weird" smells.

Some of my favorites:
Cold air, either outside or from the freezers at the grocery store
New books
Textbooks with shiny pages
Vacuuming
Elastic from new clothes
My guinea pig
A new box of crayons
Fresh paint
Dirt
Outside after a rainstorm

I have a habit of smelling EVERYTHING. Several months ago one girl from my college paid my attention to this fact even though I had tried to do it discretely every time. But I don't mind. Anyway this habit has decreased a lot recently.

I used to love smelling brand new books; I loved the way they smelled. Brand new school supplies in general too-- looseleaf, binders, pencils, erasers, etc. I also liekd the smell of new stuffed white bears.

I used to sniff Tippex, but my teachers at the time told me it constituted solvent-abuse, so I had to stop.

Yes, it's supposed to be really bad for you.

People have noticed my tendency to sniff things, but I think they tend to dismiss it as a quirk of personality. I do try to be discreet about it, though.

I find hardly anything here that I don't enjoy smelling. I tend to sniff everything to learn more about it, and if someone has a problem with it it's because that person is missing out on an amazing sense. Also, I like the smell of vitamins, feet, dogs with short hair, my dirty clothes and my fiance's, and people. Smell is an easy way to identify people, because we all smell different.

What I like the smells of:
Electronics, cats, my own dirty clothes, permanant markers, gasoline, new plastics, scented candles, books with the shiny pages, and the smell of thousands of books that permiates a library. I also love the smell of bread baking and yeast.

My weirdest ones would be:
The smell of skunk, especially a dead one, and the odor an animal gives off when it is dead and rotting.
