You can switch judges, but you can appeal to a higher court.

First you have a county court(or a city court if you live in a big city), then you have a State Appeals Court, then a State Supreme Court and then the Federal Supreme Court.

Anyway, do you know what sites he posts on?

Join them, find out his screename, and get the admins/mods to ban him!

Well, the biggest problem that I have is that he's a huge techno geek and I just have that nagging feeling in the back of my brain that it just doesn't matter what I do. He'll find me. Which is a very sobering thought altogether.

He's been smart enough to let me know he knows what I'm posting without doing it through WP. He always uses my private email to let me know that he knows what I'm doing. And never reveals his screen name, if he has one on here, to me. Unfortuneately, it's not illegal to be a prick and the law doesn't really understand cyber stalking. Sucks to be me, I guess.

1) Have someone "clean" your computer
2) Delete any messages from anyone you do not know unopened
3) If he makes you feel like he's won, he's won.

Nan, I've already done all of these things. My current husband cleans my computers very regularly including my cell phone because I often use it for email purposes.

I don't ever actually get to the point of "he's won" per se. But I feel pretty damned defeated occasionally. This usually lasts until the little bit of survivor in me gets up and kicks the AS part of me's ass for feeling sorry for myself.

I also can't switch judges because of some stupid law that says that until a determination is reached on the custody, I'm stuck.

Nan, do you have any more information on this? I can change my name and SSN under sealed records, in my case, due to the abuse and threats. But I've dawdled on it...

If you know any online resources about how to disappear, I'd be very grateful if you'd post or PM me the links.
gwen i cant believe anyone would be so mean to you. you seem like such a nice girl :(

He grew up abused and mistreated, and I think there's something broken in his brain besides. I don't know for sure, but I think he just likes feeling powerful. People like him choose nice, meek girls to beat on. Maybe because we waste a lot of time blaming ourselves and trying to help instead of calling the police.

I'm come a long way since then. ^_~ Nobody's going to kick me and see the light of another day again.

So call me if Chester gets to be a bother. 8)

From what I've read, truly mean people often pick nice people to bully.

Liverbird, I don't want to scare you - but at first glance this doesn't look like stalking to me.

Stalking includes harassment (as in actually making contact on each location). Now having said that, it also depends on what your husband is seeking to achieve. What sort of information is he using against you and why?

I've been stalked on the Internet, and it was direct harassment every time (threats of physical harm and so on). I have also been accused of stalking, but that's not correct because whatever I am doing is for his benefit because it's my firm view that he is out of control and I need to control him somehow to just get him out of my proverbial hair. I highly doubt your husband has that excuse - but then I don't know the details of the reason why you two are in court.

And I wouldn't expect you to answer this post in public either for the record.

Seeking information is defensible - otherwise every private detective in the world would all be before the courts for it. I hope I've made my point clear.
