Not for asperger's, but for a migraine/meltdown I had two weeks ago. I had symptoms that lasted a long time, so they did a CT (formerly known as CAT) scan, but the pictures were sent to a facility for interpretation so I haven't seen them yet.

I've had two MRI's for unrelated reasons, the mos recent being of the full brain (I always thought mine was empty  ) because of a lack of balance I have been experiencing. Both were normal.

My kids, diagnosed with autism, have had normal MRI's. They have had EEG's for their seizures. The seizure activity was seen, but nothing else remarkable.

They have also had a full battery of genetic tests, all quite notmal.

I've had a CAT scan that was normal, and mutiple EEGs that each showed that my brain chemistry is all shot to hell.

Did they also do an EEG? I heard those are frequently used to determine seizure activity.
EEG was done too.

I had several EEG's in middle school, and they all came back abnormal except for one. The abnormalities where mostly in the temporal/frontotemporal areas. An MRI found a lesion (harmatona) on the left amygdala.

I had some siezures (nocturnal convulsive ones) and I suspect I have partial seizures as well, and I wonder if my headaches are a part of it.

Despite these abnormalities, I pass for NT (perhaps, just a slightly eccentric one) in just about every enviroment and my problems would never be completely aspie (IMHO) like. Superficically, somethings do look a lot like AS, but I think they are a result of the lesion rather than a PDD in general.

I had a EEG. I hated it when she made me look at lights. It hurt. And my eyes were closed.

Did the lights make you have a seizure?

I had a CAT scan done to check for brain damage when I had concussion. There was no brain damage, thank goodness.

The bright, flickering light is supposed to bring on a seizure so the seizure activity can be recorded.

I have an eeg and a neuro consult in the works as I am still having symptoms - the migraine medicine didn't work. I think the CT scan was negative.
I'll let you know what they find.

I've had a CT scan. It revealed blocked sinuses. Heh.
I've also had a SPECT scan (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography). That measures the blood flow in the brain.
Mine revealed an underactive frontal lobe at concentration (common for ADHD).
Also an overactive anterior cingulate gyrus. Located in the centre of the brain, it controls stress levels. Overactive = stressed!
The right temporal lobe blood flow was underactive, this is common in people who have trouble recognising faces and facial expressions, apparently.
I've also had two EEGs and did NOT enjoy them one bit. The lights. Argh!
