My nationality is Canadian. Je suis Canadien. :hockey:

My ancestry includes Dutch, Polish, Irish and a little bit of Indonesian, way back when the Dutch owned slaves. A distant ancestor of mine was apparently an Indonesian slave who, after being freed from bondage by the death of his owner, took the Dutchman's name, Valentijn. Valentijn was the maiden name of my maternal grandmother.

Prussian (the part that's now part of Poland)
Native American (Cherokee, to be exact)
Irish
English

And then unknown. My great grandfather was illegitimate; we don't know what's from there.

I'm a white guy, mostly French-English I think, with some traces of Asian and African.

Mainly Irish, although if you go back a few centuries, there's a bit of French, Scandinavian and possibly Spanish hanging around...

German, Polish, and Irish.

The Irish were actually pirates and through them I might be a direct descendant of Capitan Kidd, although we've never been able to establish the link. There's a generation between Captian Kidd and a time where someone with the last name of Kidd married into the family that we can't find.
